Full job description

Locums - CRNA Detroit, MI Availability
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Type: Locum, full-time coverage
  • Shifts: Variable day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours)
  • No on-call, no weekend requirements
  • Site has additional need for 2 providers for end of summer early fall; Preference for someone willing to work primarily in the endoscopy unit. The endo unit does screening colons and EGDs but also advanced GI procedures.
  • 1-2 additional well-seasoned and experienced CRNAs with level 1 experience. This provider needs to be able to do most all procedures.
Licensure
  • Michigan RN License: Required (active at time of submission)
Certifications
  • NBCRNA Board Certification: Required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS: Required
Experience
  • Must be fully licensed; new graduates not accepted
  • Experience in hospital-based anesthesia covering:
    • General surgery
    • Neurosurgical cases
    • Deep sedation/MAC
    • Ventilation management
    • Oversight of physician-administered regional anesthesia
Facility & Setting
  • Level I Trauma Center
  • Adult patients and limited pediatric population
  • Collaborative team with anesthesiologists, surgeons, RNs, and techs
  • EMR: Epic
Clinical Scope
  • Preoperative assessments and patient education
  • Administer anesthetics and monitor patients during procedures
  • Respond to patient emergencies
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
