Position Overview
Active Therapy Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated full-time Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to enhance our patient care team at our Knoxville, Tennessee facility. This role is integral to the rehabilitation process as you will implement treatment plans designed by physical therapists, engage with patients, and track their progress. Your work as a PTA will take place onsite within our well-equipped hospital facility in Knoxville. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:
- Carry out treatment plans developed by physical therapists, observing and documenting patient responses and progress.
- Utilize advanced modalities and specialized equipment during therapy sessions, such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercise.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and expected outcomes, using your interpersonal and communication skills to foster understanding and motivation.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to infection control protocols during patient interactions and treatment activities to ensure a safe environment.
- Participate actively in continuing education and in-service training to stay abreast of developments in the field and enhance your skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with a diverse population of patients, including those recovering from surgery, trauma, or chronic illnesses, as well as geriatric patients requiring skilled rehabilitation therapy. Your role is vital in helping these individuals regain mobility, functionality, and independence. Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Physical Therapist Assistant position will possess:
- An Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (consideration will be given to new graduates).
- An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Tennessee.
- The ability to deliver physical therapy services in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
- A genuine passion for working with elderly patients, promoting their rehabilitation and recovery.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will enjoy comprehensive benefits, including:
