Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered.

Unit Details: - Emergency observation unit caring for patients with chest pain, syncope, and angina. - Expected competencies include stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management), PCA pumps, and medication gtt management including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell. - CNA ratio 1:10. - Resource RN assists with admissions and discharges; RT and hospitalist support available 24/7; phlebotomy is a combined effort between RNs and the IV team; IV/VAT team available.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No call. - Schedule cycle every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: - Up to 6 days RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.

Floating Requirements: - Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units based on patient care needs and staffing demands. - Will take patients within scope of practice on any unit, including MedSurg assignments in ICU and MedSurg holds in ED. - Required to float per region needs to Region 1 facilities as needed: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH - peds only).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
