Location: Gainesville, GA
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Office-based with periodic site visits and occasional travel
Pay: $120,000 to $180,000 per year

Lead structural design for food and beverage facilities as Engineer of Record at a national design-build firm, taking projects from first concept through construction.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• S.E. or P.E. license in Georgia, with ability to obtain reciprocity in other states
• 5+ years of structural engineering design experience
• Strong Revit and BIM proficiency (Revit-based workflow required)
• Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build experience
• Construction document production and CSI specifications experience
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary industrial projects
• Willingness to travel 2 to 5 days at a time and work non-traditional hours when projects require

What You'll Do

• Serve as Engineer of Record for in-house structural design services
• Design concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structural systems for industrial and commercial buildings
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, refrigeration, and process teams to deliver integrated designs
• Partner with Preconstruction on budgets, alternative design options, and 5D model-based estimating
• Support design-build pursuits, including scope development, proposals, and client interviews
• Evaluate and design repairs for emergency structural conditions
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration
• Build drafting templates and libraries that streamline the design workflow
• Mentor junior engineers and designers while managing multiple projects at once

Nice-to-Haves

• Food and beverage, freezer/cooler, or controlled environment facility experience
• Industrial manufacturing project background and process coordination knowledge
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM 360 / BIM Collaborate Pro, Navisworks, and RAM Steel
• SpecLink experience for CSI specifications

Compensation and Benefits

• $120,000 to $180,000 base salary based on experience

• Office-based position with a manageable travel schedule
