Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment. Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Minnesota license (required for submission).
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Rivers Edge Hospital and Clinic.

Required Skills/Experience: - One previous travel assignment. - Proficient in IV starts; must start own IVs on the unit. - Orthopedics experience required. - Must be able to read telemetry strips.
Special Requests: - Block scheduling allowed depending on unit needs.
Unit Details: - Uses Epic and Mindray telemetry monitors. - Nurse-patient ratios: 1:4 on days (may be lower with higher acuity) and 1:5 on nights. - Heavy orthopedic/post-op population including hips, knees, spine, and shoulder; open GYN; general post-op; pneumonia; CHF; COPD; weakness; geriatric patients with multiple comorbidity exacerbations; rare peds under 18; post-op pain control monitored overnight. - RNs titrate drips. Common drips include heparin; insulin, Cardizem, Levophed, and dopamine are preferred, but per manager, lack of drip experience may be acceptable and core staff can assist. - No monitor tech; nurses read their own telemetry strips, and the charge nurse assists with monitoring. - Charge RN rarely takes a 1-2 patient assignment and helps prepare discharges; house supervisor coverage is on nights and weekends. - No respiratory therapist on the unit; tele-RT is available by iPad 24-hour access. Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and nasal cannula. Vents are rare and held only until transfer; permanent staff would take these patients unless you are experienced.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every third weekend: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. - Facility rotation, every 3rd holiday. - No call. - Unit orientation is three 12-hour shifts, including one day shift to get access to programs and pharmacy.

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
