    Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately assist with processing payroll for 210,000+ employees, including time adjustments, entries, bonus and special payments—validating accuracy through queries and reports within required timeframes.
  • Edit and review Compass/Kronos time records for discrepancies and adjust accordingly.
  • Calculate and process retroactive pay.
  • Process manual checks, replacement checks, and paid-outs in compliance with state and federal regulations; update banking institution data and assist with banking and DailyPay matters.
  • Verify benefit time accruals and ensure accurate payment in accordance with state regulations.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from internal customers via phone and email, targeting 30–50 email responses per day.
  • Maintain payroll policies in compliance with state and federal regulations and adhere to internal controls including SOX compliance.
  • Provide support and assist in onboarding and training of new payroll associates.
  • Support garnishment and tax specialty areas as needed.
  • Assist the Payroll Processing Manager and Director with special projects as requested.
  • Partner effectively with payroll team members and business partners across the organization.

    What You Bring

    Required

  • 1–3 years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and responsiveness.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email; comfortable learning new software platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain composure under pressure.

    Nice to Have

  • Payroll certification (CPP or FPC).
  • Experience calculating hours worked for FLSA requirements.
  • Workday payroll experience.
