We’re looking for an Analyst I or Analyst II to join our LCMS team in San Diego and play a key role in supporting high-quality sample analysis for our sponsors. In this role, you’ll run LC/MS/MS assays, contribute to assay development and validation, troubleshoot methods, and run sample analysis projects from preparation through data processing and reporting.
Essential Responsibilities
- Run assays independently; (LC/MS/MS)
- Prepare worksheets with minimal supervision
- Prepare plate maps
- Serve as lead analyst on sample analysis projects
- Troubleshoot assays
- Compile/process data
- Prepare summary tables
- Peer review raw data
- Order reagents
- Participate in assay development and validation
- Adhere to provided method/directive
- Prepare reagents
- Use LIMS system
- Participate in sample analysis
- Pipetting
- Adhere to safety requirements
- Keep accurate inventory of supplies for assays
- Responsible for accurate record keeping with regard to sponsor's samples, data, and reports (documentation according to GxP guidelines)

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: Education/Experience (Analyst I)
- Associate degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, biology, immunology, or related field; or equivalent experience in a scientific environment with not less than two (2) years' experience in a scientific laboratory environment; or
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, biology, immunology, or related field with not less than one (1) year experience in a scientific laboratory environment
Minimum Preferred Qualifications: Education/Experience (Analyst II)
Minimum Preferred Qualifications: Skills
- Ability to carry out routine tasks accurately, following strict methodology to carry out analysis, preparing samples and maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment.
- Previous hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS (LCMS) instrumentation and bioanalytical sample analysis is strongly preferred.
- Must work effectively within team to meet objectives under time constraints
- Ability to take direction well and multi-task
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Experience working in a GxP environment preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel and Word
