Cloud Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and innovation sector, is seeking a dedicated Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be an integral part of the IT Platform team supporting various engineering and operational functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $104/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Provision and manage AWS accounts and tenant structures, including IAM users/roles, cross-account access, and SSO group setup, following established playbooks
• Write and maintain Terraform modules for account setup, networking, IAM, and resource provisioning
• Build and configure AWS networking resources such as VPCs, subnets, VPC peering, and routing based on team designs
• Support secrets management workflows using AWS Secrets Manager and Vault for integrations with third-party platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve AWS support tickets across compute, storage, and networking for cross-functional customers

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, including writing and modifying modules
• Working knowledge of AWS networking fundamentals such as VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups
• Understanding of IAM and cloud security principles including least privilege, encryption, and secrets management
• Ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks while following documented processes and escalation procedures
