HR Coordinator – Warehouse/Store Operations

Position Summary

The HR Coordinator supports HR operations for multiple distribution centers, partnering closely with warehouse leadership to provide high-quality HR services while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. This position also provides operational HR support to improve workforce planning, employee engagement, and warehouse performance.

Area of Responsibility

Warehouse HR Support

  • Jersey City Walong Distribution Center

  • Illinois Walong Distribution Center

  • Atlanta Walong Distribution Center

  • Maryland Walong Distribution Center

  • New York Welcome Warehouse

Retail Operations HR Support

  • East Coast Retail Store Operations (including support for Regional Directors of Operations and Store Management teams across the East Coast region)

Essential Responsibilities

Warehouse HR Business Support (50%)

  • Partner with DC Managers and warehouse supervisors on day-to-day HR matters.

  • Coordinate and support recruitment for hourly and warehouse management positions.

  • Conduct onboarding and new hire orientation.

  • Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.

  • Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, coaching documentation, and corrective action administration.

  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HR procedures.

  • Coordinate required warehouse safety and compliance training.

  • Support OSHA documentation and HR compliance audits.

  • Conduct periodic HR audits for warehouse locations.

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for routine employee inquiries and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.

Retail Store Operations Support (50%)

  • Partner with Regional Directors of Operations (RDO), and Store Managers to provide ongoing HR support for daily retail operations.

  • Support store leadership with recruitment planning, interview coordination, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure appropriate employee’s levels.

  • Assist managers with employee coaching, corrective actions, investigations, and performance documentation in accordance with company policies.

  • Conduct regular store visits to build relationships, identify HR and operational needs, and provide on-site support and coaching.

  • Support employee engagement, retention initiatives, and recognition programs to foster a positive work environment.

  • Coordinate training activities and monitor onboarding and required training completion for store employees.

  • Participate in operational improvement initiatives and provide HR support for new store openings, remodels, staffing transitions, and other business projects.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to travel periodically to warehouse locations as business needs require.

  • English is required; Chinese and/or Spanish proficiency is highly preferred.

Compensation:


The pay range for this job starts at $25-$28 per hour . This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.



Working Conditions:


  • This job is performed in a production environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors associated with food production.
