Description:

Job Title: Food Service Cashier at Starbucks Cafe

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: Night - 9:00 pm - 5:30 am (Monday - Friday)

Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland

Position Purpose:

  • The Food Service Cashier at Starbucks Cafe will accurately and rapidly ring a variety of hot and cold drinks, as well as sandwiches, bakery goods, lunch options, and quick snacks at the cash register, while demonstrating good customer service for the Food & Nutrition Department.

As a “Food Service Cashier” you will:

  • Assist in collecting money for food sold at Starbucks Cafe.

  • To prepare and display food for sale in the cafeteria.

  • To maintain sanitation of all equipment within the cafe.

  • Restocking all retail items as needed.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent four years of work-related experience.

  • Barista experience (required)

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English

  • Ability to add and subtract numbers.

  • Ability to handle patron complaints with respect.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.42

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
