Transtex Composites division is a leading manufacturer of advanced, thermoplastic composite solutions for a broad range of applications in new and diverse markets. Our expanding range of glass-reinforced polypropylene composite materials has set the industry standard for toughness and durability in applications throughout industry worldwide.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a proven Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality for our Composites Manufacturing site. To be successful as a Quality control Manager, you should be thorough and always available to assist when needed. Provide the leadership that sets the tone of how things should be done. You will report to our VP Quality, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all the manufacturing plant quality control activities.
  • Spend significant time on the production floor working with production supervisors and Manufacturing engineer to resolve quality inconsistency issues and reduce rejects.
  • Conduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
  • Ensure the implementation of corrective and containment actions
  • Ensure the effectiveness of corrective actions and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure the appropriate execution of all products quality inspections (Incoming, In-process, Final) per inspection plan.
  • Supervise 3 quality control team members provide guidance and feedback.
  • Monitor manufacturing audits and quality procedures execution to identify deviations.
  • Develop inspection plans and quality documentation for new products.
  • Support the creation of Quality control documents as forms, procedures, and supplier quality requirements.
  • Assist with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Support the resolution of customer complaints.
  • Contact Suppliers to share products nonconformities or potential improvements. Follow-up on their corrective actions.
  • Ensure calibration requirements are maintained for inspection and test equipment.
  • Cooperate with management to identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-quality costs.

    You are passionate about professional challenges and take pride in a job well done. You are meticulous and detail-oriented, and you have a proven experience as Quality Control Manager.

    You also have the following assets:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a quality control Manager.
  • Great communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Very familiar with Quality control procedures and root cause analysis.
  • Customer focus and accountable.
  • Meticulous and responsible
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Experience with ISO 9001-2015 is an advantage.
