Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: - Experience reading basic telemetry strips is required. - Some experience with CVA and TIA is required. - Total joint replacement experience is required.
Special Requests: - An interview may not be available prior to offer. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Submission limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Eligibility as current/previous employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.
Unit Details: - The unit commonly cares for patients with CHF, COVID, respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, telemetry needs, post-cath needs, and total joint replacements. - Diltiazem/Cardizem drips are administered at a set rate; RNs are not required to titrate drips. - RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift. - Unit equipment and respiratory care include BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments.
Shift & Scheduling: - Schedules are made out for four weeks. Self-scheduling is used, but the schedule is not final until the manager balances it. - Two weekends are required per four-week schedule. - For Christmas, New Year’s, and Thanksgiving, the preferred holiday coverage is two days and one eve or two eves and one day (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and Thanksgiving Day). - No call.
Floating Requirements: - The clinician is first to float. - The clinician may float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
