Position Overview

Rebound Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Torrance, California. This full-time role requires you to work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement comprehensive treatment plans that facilitate patient recovery. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
  • Guide patients in completing therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring they understand proper techniques to maximize effectiveness and minimize injury.
  • Educate patients on body mechanics, exercise routines, and home safety strategies to empower them in their recovery.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, monitoring patients' responses and progress.
  • Document and monitor patient outcomes consistently, tracking key metrics such as range of motion and strength improvements to evaluate effectiveness and report to the supervising therapist.
  • Maintain and organize treatment areas and equipment to ensure readiness for therapy sessions, promoting a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to create a holistic approach to patient rehabilitation.
  • Provide emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages motivation and recovery.
  • Uphold all ethical practices, ensuring patient confidentiality and the highest standards of professional conduct.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
