Culinary Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Current ServSafe, Tips, Allergy, and Choke Safer certifications
- Proven experience managing kitchen operations and personnel
- Strong understanding of inventory control, scheduling, and budgeting
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
Culinary Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience conducting performance reviews and cross-training staff
- Familiarity with seasonal menu planning and product sourcing
- Ability to maintain detailed maintenance and inventory records
Culinary Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Write and manage kitchen schedules in alignment with labor budgets
- Enforce high standards for cleanliness, food quality, and safety
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and cost control
- Hire, train, and support kitchen staff, fostering ongoing development
- Conduct performance and station reviews, providing clear feedback
- Track waste, monitor prep and line checks, and manage ticket times
- Communicate effectively regarding menu updates and product changes
- Maintain cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance records
