Full job description

Our client in the plastics manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the operations supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: New Hope, MN

Pay Rate: $30.00/hour

Position Type: 1-Year Contract-to-Hire

Shift: Sunday night – Friday morning, 11:00PM-7:30AM

What's the Job?

  • Complete maintenance assignments to build, repair, and maintain equipment in good operating condition efficiently and accurately.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical devices in operation, dismantle, examine, and replace defective parts.
  • Design, install, and upgrade electrical systems and troubleshoot PLC systems.
  • Operate shop machinery such as lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, and welder.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and uptime through proactive maintenance and support EPA compliance in water systems.

What's Needed?

  • Technical School Degree or equivalent experience; completed associate degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, including electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with shop machinery and hand tools, and experience with PLC troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly and handle up to 250 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to multitask effectively.
