Education Unit Overview:Are you interested in continuing your nursing career in an innovative educational environment, while making an impact on the next generation of nurses? The new Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Dedicated Education Unit is an 18-bed unit focused on teaching eager and upcoming graduate nurses the fundamental skills necessary to be successful. We are looking to build a team of highly engaged nurses who have a passion for education, patient care, and best practices. This unit will care for Medical Telemetry patients with a 4:1 patient to nurse ratio (day shift only). Each nurse will act as a preceptor to two senior level nursing students who will take total care of the 4 patients. A clinical rotation preceptor will also be available for support/oversight of the students. Position Details:
SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE
10,000 Sign On Bonus for full-time RNs
with at least 1 year of experience
NO CONTRACT
Qualifications:
Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
