The facility maintains a clinical team with expertise in nursing, radiology, general neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery and intervention, neuro-spine surgery, and neurology. The facility operates a 20-bed unit with an average total inpatient census of 20 and an average of 2 admissions per day. About the Facility Location North Carolina offers a range of landscapes, from mountain regions to coastal areas, providing options for outdoor activities such as hiking, scenic drives, and wildlife viewing. The state is home to regional attractions across distinct geographic areas, including state parks, historic sites, museums, and natural recreation areas. Clinicians on assignment will find opportunities spanning history, nature, and culture across the region. About the Clinician's Workday The physician associate will provide inpatient-only neurocritical care coverage on 12-hour shifts, with day shifts running 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and night shifts running 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM beginning January 2027. The clinician must be acute care certified, capable of ICU-level care, and will be expected to respond to codes; no ER backup and no call are required outside the worked shift. ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required, and a minimum of one year of relevant experience is expected.
