Baystate Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist to join our Blood Bank at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Our Blood Bank provides essential diagnostic testing that supports patient care across the organization, working closely with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care.

The Medical Lab Scientist Will: 

• performs complex immunohematology testing, including ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening and identification, and compatibility testing. The MLS prepares and issues blood products, investigates transfusion reactions, performs specialized testing, and provides critical transfusion support to ensure the safe and timely delivery of blood products to patients.

• Schedule: 3rd shift
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating coverage as needed

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$27.13 - $38.23 - $54.29
