Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse

TriCities Hospital in Hopewell, VA is seeking a Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, safe, and evidence-based care for adult behavioral health patients. The RN will perform comprehensive mental health and physical assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and monitor treatment responses. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, de-escalation, patient and family education, and close collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers. The nurse supports a therapeutic milieu, documents accurately in the EMR, and upholds hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while mentoring support staff and participating in ongoing professional development.
