Empower Concierge Rehab and PT is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. This full-time position is vital as you will work closely under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to deliver restorative care that enhances patients’ quality of life. Your role is crucial in supporting patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions and helping them regain mobility and independence.

Work Environment

The position is hospital-based, allowing you to engage with a diverse range of patients and collaborate with a variety of skilled professionals including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists. You will instruct patients in a comfortable clinical setting while adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring the highest standards of care. Working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, your contributions will directly impact our patients' recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering personalized therapeutic treatments as detailed in the physical therapy plan established by supervising Physical Therapists, facilitating activities that enhance strength and mobility.
  • Monitor patient performance during therapeutic exercises to evaluate improvement and adapt therapy approaches as needed, ensuring effective rehabilitation processes.
  • Document all patient interactions, updates, and treatment outcomes meticulously, providing thorough reports to the supervising Physical Therapist for ongoing assessment of patient progress.
  • Educate patients and their families about home exercises and mobility strategies, empowering them to contribute to their recovery outside of formal therapy sessions.
  • Uphold patient safety and comfort procedures throughout all therapy sessions; effectively manage any discomfort or injury risks associated with patient rehabilitation activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the entire healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, maximizing rehabilitation outcomes and enhancing overall patient satisfaction.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, hospital policies, and maintain state licensing standards to ensure confidentiality and professional integrity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic illnesses. Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program; candidates with Bachelor's degrees and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
