Job Summary
We're seeking a flexible and team-oriented per-diem Clinic/Practice Assistant to join our front desk team picking up shifts primarily in our Endocrinology practice at 10 Members Way in Dover, NH. There are opportunities to support Thoracic Surgery and other specialty practices throughout the Dover, NH location as staffing needs arise. This role provides essential coverage for call-outs, vacations, leaves, and vacancies during practice hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.We’re committed to delivering the highest level of care with a smile, and we’re looking for people like you to help us do so! Clinic/Practice Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to administrative support, our Clinic/Practice Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that teams are delivering the highest quality experience that exceeds our patients' expectations. We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting!
Summary
Performs both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under close to general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties. Actual job duties may vary by Department.

Essential Functions
-Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office.
-Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
-Greet and assist patients.
-Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments.
-File materials in patient folders, and print appointment schedules.
-Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.
-Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results.
-Open and distribute mail or faxes.
-Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed.
-May be required to accept co-payments.
-Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations, referrals, and verify registrations for accuracy.
-May monitor patients in waiting room and responds to any needs for information.
-Assists in patient flow processes.
