This hourly role follows the Scotts step pay progression scale and typically starts at $29.40 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

In this role you will:

  • Gather and prepare samples for chemical analysis.
  • Analyze samples via spectrophotometric, chromatographic, and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Record laboratory information in SAP for product release.
  • Report results to operations.
  • Perform daily calibration and preventive maintenance on lab instruments.
  • Complete housekeeping and 5S tasks.
  • Keep all laboratory data management records up to date.
  • Complete special projects and reports as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an analytical lab environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, SAP and basic laboratory principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Self-driven in a busy and detail-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and strong math skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
  • Capable of lifting up to fifty pounds.
