v Responsibilities:
Our School Based Physical Therapists serve students with various physical and developmental challenges, ranging in age from 3-21 years old.
* Implements treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to be shared with the school and/or supervisors, as mandated in the student's Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
* Consults with other professionals (Teachers, SLP, OT, PCP, etc.) on the student's treatment team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive therapy team.
* Assesses and documents each student's progress through formal and informal tests and measurements.
* Writes and prepares annual review reports and goals for each student in accordance with their IEP dates and requirements, in order to remain in compliance with state guidelines.
* Attends all school related meetings as scheduled, such as, but not limited to, Triennials, Annual Reviews, Domains, Referrals, IEP, and pre-IEP meetings for each individual student.
* Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled physical therapy intervention relative to the student/client's level of function within the school environment. This includes, but is not limited to the following areas: school function, range of motion, strength, positioning, contracture management, and conducting home assessments.
Qualifications:
* They must have a valid and unencumbered Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.
* They must have a qualifying degree in Physical Therapy.
* They must have a current CPR Certification.
* Valid CPR certification required.
* Clinical experience with the pediatric population preferred.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.
* Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.
* Maintains professional attitudes and respect for the school and their staff.
* Treats all students with dignity, compassion, empathy and respect.
* Proven track record with high volume workloads.
Posted Salary Range: USD $52.00 - USD $60.00 /Hr.
