Rebound Physical Therapy is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outstanding team in Pompano Beach, Florida. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing well-defined, individualized treatment plans to enhance patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring they understand each step to promote effective healing and pain management.
  • Educate patients on maintaining proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, helping them develop home exercise programs that align with their recovery needs.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities—such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy—under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, adapting to the conditions of each patient.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, assessing range of motion, strength improvements, and any noticeable changes in overall function to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Prepare treatment spaces, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and accessible for daily sessions.
  • Engage in effective communication with the interdisciplinary team, contributing critical insights into patient care and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement, creating a positive and motivating atmosphere for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting each patient's rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will interact with a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, elderly patients requiring geriatric rehabilitation, children needing pediatric therapy, and individuals transitioning from surgical procedures. Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida.
