DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic in the greater Muskegon area.

• As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.
• Discover a day in the life of a PCT and learn how our PCTs & RNs cannulate patients to start dialysis.

 

Required Schedule & Clinic Coverage Area

• Work set schedules at 3 clinics within the Greater Muskegon area, 1 clinic located 15min south in Grand Haven, and the ocassional shift in Newaygo, MI.
• Operating Hours: 5:00A - 9:00P Monday - Saturday, closed Sundays
• Shift Start & End Times: 4:00A - 10:00P Monday - Saturday
• Work 3-4 shifts per week, alternating opening, and closing shifts
• Shift Length: 8 - 10 - 12hrs at a time, work every other Saturday
• Long Term: Expect to work at other clinics within the area to get full time hours

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
• Record vital signs and patient data
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
