Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2580 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests: Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away. Time off around Christmas cannot be approved. Can approve 40 hours for time off.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis. Nurse-driven heparin infusions. Insulin drips via Glucomander. The unit uses telemetry. The unit uses nurse-driven flu vaccination. CAPD is used on the unit.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 hours. Every other weekend. Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.

Floating Requirements: Travelers float before full-time staff.
