About Us

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder to join our aggregates operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment, including loaders and other yellow iron, to support safe and efficient plant production.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on loaders, haul trucks, conveyors, crushers, and other aggregate processing equipment.
  • Inspect equipment and structures to identify wear, damage, and opportunities for preventative maintenance.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to complete repairs accurately.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and environmental requirements while performing maintenance activities.

What Are We Looking For

  • Demonstrated ability to perform structural welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment repairs in an industrial or heavy equipment environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical and structural issues.
  • Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication tools, equipment, and related machinery.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination.

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
