Work Environment

Working on-site at our hospital in Valley Stream, our PTA will be part of a dynamic and collaborative healthcare team. This full-time position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a consistent routine while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Administer hands-on therapy sessions, employing manual techniques and therapeutic exercises to aid in patient recovery.
• Educate patients about their conditions, and teach them appropriate exercises and activities to facilitate rehabilitation.
• thoroughly monitor and accurately document patients’ progress during treatment sessions, making necessary adjustments to programs under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals within the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and effective patient care.
• Implement therapeutic modalities, including trigger point therapy techniques, based on specific patient needs and treatment strategies.
• Support initiatives in occupational health by providing education and resources related to injury prevention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Surpass Rehabilitation Center, you will work with a diverse clientele comprising individuals of all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric patients. These patients come to us seeking rehabilitation after surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and quality of life. Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
