Personal Lines Account Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Personal Lines insurance
- Property & Casualty Insurance License required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maturity, and professionalism in all client and team interactions
- Experience with Epic System is a plus
- Familiarity with cross-selling and upselling insurance products
Personal Lines Account Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage a personal lines book of business, providing proactive, individualized customer service
- Respond promptly and accurately to complex customer inquiries regarding policies, coverages, and claims
- Oversee processing of new policies, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and update client and policy information within the agency management system
- Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand their insurance options and guiding them through coverage selections
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional insurance products
- Collaborate with team members and participate in agency meetings to support collective goals
- Ensure all account management activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Mentor and assist in the training of junior account managers as needed
