Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Required Skills/Experience: Neurological care experience required.

Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift. Charge nurse is present on every shift and may take an assignment. Night shift utilizes LPNs. PCT support is available at 12-15 patients per PCT. Primary patient population includes cardiac, neurological/stroke, and seizure diagnoses. RNs titrate Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem drips. High Flow and BiPAP may be used for less than 24 hours; RNs troubleshoot but do not manage these devices. Telemetry monitoring is virtual with no on-unit monitor techs; nurses read their own cardiac strips each shift using GE telemetry monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holiday coverage is assigned on a rotation basis. On-call as a last resort.
