What You ll Do
As a Veterinary Technician Surgery, you ll support our surgical department, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care. In this role, you will:
- Provide hands-on assistance during procedures from general patient care and diagnostic workups to advanced interventions under the guidance of senior technicians and specialists.
- Manage a range of technical tasks, such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and patient record-keeping.
- Maintain a high level of organization, ensuring the department is stocked with necessary supplies and that equipment is ready for immediate use.

Monitor and care for non-critical and recovering patients

Administer medications and treatments (IV, IM, SQ, PO)

Prepare and manage patient recovery from anesthesia

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, clinicians, and support teams

Maintain accurate records, follow treatment plans, and assist with patient discharge

Demonstrate sound medical knowledge and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting

Apply Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to keep patients safe and calm

What We re Looking For
We re seeking Veterinary Technicians who take pride in precision, remain calm under pressure, and find fulfillment in delivering outstanding patient care. You likely have:

1 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician/Nurse

CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred or educational equivalent

Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a high-volume setting

Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology, terminology, and disease processes

Excellent communication and multitasking skills

A calm, focused demeanor and a commitment to learning and growth
