Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes.

Unit Details: Patient population includes ESRD, CHF, pneumonia, sickle cell crisis, diabetes/DKA, wounds, and acute/chronic renal failure. RN ratios: Days 1:5; Nights 1:6 (critical surge 1:7-8). Support includes CNA coverage (1:12), 24/7 receptionist/HUC able to validate EKGs, charge nurse, 24/7 phlebotomy, 24/7 IV/VAT team, dedicated unit pharmacist, 2 case managers per unit, MedSurg clinical nurse specialist, 24/7 RT for nebulizer treatments, nurse educator, hospitalist 24/7, and telemetry monitoring/tech. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, Rover Communication, and Hoyer lift. New unit opened January 2025.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: Required to float within Region 2, within scope of practice, to Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, Levine Children’s Hospital) as needed.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
