Preferred Experience: Candidates with a minimum of four years of nursing experience are highly preferred. Previous experience in infusion therapy and/or IV insertion is preferred. Experience in medical-surgical nursing, dialysis, oncology, or other specialties requiring strong vascular access skills, patient assessment, and ongoing clinical monitoring.
Schedule: This full-time position is scheduled for four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There are no weekends or UPMC-recognized holidays, supporting a consistent schedule and work-life balance.

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and an essential member of the care delivery team. This role is responsible for setting standards for the quality and level of patient care while maintaining accountability for clinical outcomes. The Professional Staff Nurse utilizes independent judgment, strong communication skills, and interdisciplinary collaboration to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients and their families. This position promotes patient-centered care through leadership, partnership, collaboration, and professional nursing practice.
As an integral member of the Infusion Center team, the Professional Staff Nurse provides safe, high-quality care to approximately 9 to 11 patients per day receiving a variety of infusion therapies. The nurse plays a critical role in patient assessment, ongoing monitoring, vascular access management, medication administration, patient education, and the coordination of care with providers, pharmacists, and support staff. This position is essential to supporting the daily operations, patient experience, and continued growth of the Infusion Center.
Title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience.
