Position Details:

Patient Population: Adult & Pediatric
Setting: Hospital / OR

Responsibilities:

• Provide and manage all professional anesthesia services
• Scheduled and on-call coverage (24/7 service model)
• Pre-anesthesia evaluations
• Post-surgical monitoring for anesthesia-related complications
• Respond to codes requiring anesthesia support
• Collaborate with OR leadership, anesthesia team, and clinical staff

Required Procedures:

• General surgical anesthesia
• Pediatric anesthesia
• Thoracic anesthesia
• Obstetrical anesthesia
• IV sedation
• IV regional anesthesia
• Regional blocks
• Conductive anesthesia

EMR System: Cerner

Support Staff: OR leadership team, anesthesia providers, clinical staff

Days Per Month: Full-time

On-Call/Weekends:

• Call ratio 1:4
• Weekend call required

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA)
• Iowa license or willing to obtain
• Experience with adult & pediatric procedures
• BLS
• ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Clean malpractice history preferred
• NPDB self-query (within 30 days)
• 5+ years CRNA experience preferred
• No visa candidates
• No locums candidates
