Beverage Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of beverage, general manager, or senior management experience in an upscale bar, lounge, restaurant, boutique hotel, or nightlife-driven concept
- Strong knowledge of craft cocktails, premium spirits, wine, small-plate service, and elevated guest engagement
- Proven success managing P&L, labor, beverage costs, inventory, scheduling, and revenue-driving initiatives
- Experience recruiting, training, and retaining a polished front-of-house and bar team to high service standards
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to manage service, resolve guest concerns, oversee opening/closing procedures, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations
Beverage Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Background creating memorable guest experiences in high-volume, upscale, nightlife, or destination-driven environments
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and social media/event collaboration skills
- Awareness of ambiance, hospitality trends, and local market opportunities
Beverage Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing team to deliver an exceptional guest experience each shift
- Oversee daily beverage operations, including bar prep, inventory, and financial controls
- Elevate the cocktail, wine, and small plates program through menu development and service training
- Foster a welcoming, refined lounge atmosphere while implementing revenue-driving initiatives
- Collaborate on marketing, social events, and local partnerships to drive business success
- Address guest feedback and ensure all brand and compliance standards are met
