Assistant Professor, Clinical Pathology

Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology to join a nationally recognized institution dedicated to advancing health equity through excellence in education, research, and patient care.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an educator passionate about preparing the next generation of physicians and health professionals while contributing to an innovative, integrated medical curriculum.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach clinical pathology to medical, physician assistant, and biomedical sciences students within an integrated, organ systems-based curriculum.
  • Mentor and support student academic success.
  • Contribute to histology and cell biology instruction (preferred).
  • Engage in scholarly activity in medical education, basic science, or clinical research.
  • Pursue clinical service and/or research opportunities, as appropriate.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • MD, PhD, or equivalent in Clinical Pathology.
  • Board eligible in Clinical Pathology.
  • Experience teaching in a medical or biomedical education program.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, outstanding communication skills, and a commitment to educational innovation, mentorship, and professional development.

Preferred

  • Qualifications for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
  • An active research program is welcomed but not required.
