Position Overview
The Thrive & Flourish Health Network is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Orlando, Florida. Work Environment
This role is situated in a busy hospital environment where teamwork and communication are paramount. You will work onsite alongside licensed physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to create an atmosphere of healing and support. Our facility prioritizes patient safety and comfort while utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices to enhance recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by physical therapists, employing the latest evidence-based methodologies.
- Provide hands-on support through therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
- Educate and counsel patients on exercises and rehabilitation techniques, ensuring they comprehend the importance of their therapy routines.
- Assess and monitor patient progress, making recommendations for modifications in treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal recovery.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment processes accurately in medical records to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Assist in administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and coordinating with other healthcare providers to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a compassionate approach, exhibiting empathy and understanding towards patients with varying medical conditions and recovery journeys.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed on the latest trends and research in physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that impair mobility. You will be pivotal in helping these patients regain independence and improve their overall quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundational knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and therapeutic practices relevant to rehabilitation.
Preferred Experience
- Experience as a physical therapist assistant in an inpatient hospital environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with therapeutic modalities and exercise prescription is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient documentation systems and health care administration will be an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of USD 50,000 – 60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, our benefits package includes:
