AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Planner in Phoenix, AZ:
Job Details:
- Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis to guide transportation decision-making and assess potential environmental impacts
- Interpret and evaluate findings from relevant studies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as client expectations
- Analyze diverse planning, land use, and transportation data, contributing to technical analyses, feasibility studies, and the development of comprehensive plans and transportation reports
- Gather and compile various technical and statistical data to assist in preparing reports and maps related to census data, land use, and environmental factors
- Support GIS mapping efforts and analyze socioeconomic data, land use, environmental impacts, travel behavior, and transportation demand concepts
- Create visual representations using a range of graphical tools
- Assist in research and technical analyses focused on land use and multimodal planning
- Facilitate stakeholder and public engagement initiatives for agency projects
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior staff or project managers
- Provide training to junior staff and assisted in quality control and recruitment efforts
- Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field of study and 1 year of experience as a Transportation Planner, Urban Planner, or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Environmental and socioeconomic analysis, including Social Vulnerability Index Analysis and Multi-criteria analysis
- GIS analysis and mapping
- Survey analysis
- GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and QGIS, ArcGIS Online Apps
- Data analysis tools, including MS Excel, SQL, SPSS, R, and Python
- Graphic design through Adobe Creative Suites
