The Floor Supervisor is responsible for managing a designated section of the facility, setting operational and performance standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day floor operations. This role involves leading and motivating staff, providing training and guidance, and maintaining high standards of customer service, safety, and cleanliness. The Floor Supervisor acts as a role model for team members, ensuring that company policies and procedures are consistently applied, and contributes to a positive and productive work environment.

The Madison Club is open during the winter & spring season, and this role will be for full time or part time, seasonal need from October 2026 - May 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Works a section on the floor and sets the example of service standards for the Madison Club.
• Serves as the on-shift leader of the floor team, ensuring their section and the service operations are running smoothly, efficiently, and in line with Madison Club service standards.
• Acknowledge and personally serve members with a professional and welcoming demeanor, make eye contact and warm smile always.
• Maintain full knowledge of operating procedures, service standards, Madison club and DLC information; ensure the team meets the same standard.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all items on the menu, off the menu, and daily specials; train and coach the team to do the same.
• Be able to answer all questions about food and beverage, off menu items, club history, and service standards; ensure the floor team can do the same.
• Assign and supervise sections, wait stations, and service areas before, during, and after shifts; coordinate staffing and coverage during peak periods.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well stocked work environment throughout the shift; hold the team accountable for the same.
• Monitor table cleanliness, presentations, and pacing of service across the entire floor, not only an individual section.
• Communicate special needs (allergies, dietary restrictions, member details) to kitchen, management, and appropriate staff members; ensure the team communicates the same consistently.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including wine and alcohol, as needed.
• Verify accuracy of food orders before delivery.
• Audit member checks for accuracy before closing across the floor team, not only individually but audits all checks at the end of every service.
• Assign and follow posted side work; assist in all F&B areas as needed.
• Greet members, recognize members and families.
• Delivery food and beverages across all club areas as needed (pool, locker rooms, golf course, residential, clubhouse).
• Address member complaints or issues immediately and professionally; serve as a point of escalation for the floor team before involving management.
• Provide a warm farewell upon departure.
• Oversee opening, mid, and closing duties for the floor team; verify completion of all side work and operational checklists.
• Verify accurate input of all food & beverage orders into the POS system.
• Lead team training on service standards, POS accuracy, and member recognition protocols.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform standards at all times; ensure team compliance.
• Treat members, guests, and coworkers with courtesy, respect, and discretion.
• Support a safe working environment and follow emergency response procedures.
• Assist all F&B areas when operationally needed (pool, locker room, golf course, residential, clubhouse).
• Attend all required meetings and training; provide feedback and operational insights to management.
• Respond promptly to member and management requests.
• Uphold Madison Club service standards at all times across the floor team.
• Follow all club policies, SOPs, and leadership direction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

• Previous server or lead supervisor experience preferred.

 

• Demonstrated leadership and team training ability.

 

• Current Riverside County Food Handler Card Required.

 

• Current Riverside County Alcohol Serving Card Required.

 

• Food Safety Management Certification.

 

• Competency with POS systems.

 

• Strong leadership, communication, and team training skills.

 

• Ability to follow written, oral or diagram instructions.

 

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours; bend, stoop, reach, twist.

 

• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and rain.

 

• Outgoing, friendly, courteous, patient demeanor at all times

 

• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policies.

 

• Demonstrated competency through training schedule.

 

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and hospitality.

Additional Requirements

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $32.00 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
