Transform customer specified technical information into a format that can be used to manufacture the product.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain item masters, bills of materials, and routers in the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system by analyzing engineering prints and associated technical documentation, using knowledge of material requirements and coordinating with various departments.
- Evaluate Service Now Tasks, and other notifications to determine necessary changes to item masters, Bill of Material (BOM), and routes.
- Implement changes to part item masters, Bill of Material (BOM), and routes in the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system as required by Service Now Tasks, and other notifications, or in support of other departments.
- Provide interpretation of engineering prints and associated technical documents to calculate raw material dimensional requirements for the manufacturing process and structure of the Bill of Material (BOM).
- Track backlog of daily work, adjust work hours to ensure backlog remains within the established targets and communicate work hour adjustments to management.
- Collaborate with accounting on updated information.
- Effectively communicate process status to other departments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in special projects.
Experience
- High School Diploma or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP).
- Knowledge of manufacturing method processes.
- Working knowledge of item master, Bill of Material (BOM), and routing components.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate professionally in dynamic, high-stress environment.
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to organize large amounts of hard and soft copies of data.
- Ability to enter data by typing with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to effectively analyze engineering prints and other technical documents.
