About the Position

TransForce is seeking Class A Hazmat Drivers for a local delivery position hauling cleaning supplies. Drivers will make up to seven stops per day and perform light-touch freight handling, including wrapping skids and loading and unloading the trailer.

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay: $27.80 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Start time: 11:30 p.m.
  • Daily hours: 10 hours per day

Job Details

  • Route type: Local delivery routes
  • Freight: Cleaning supplies
  • Stops: Seven or fewer stops per day
  • Delivery area: Routes may include Indiana and Detroit
  • Freight handling: Light-touch freight, including wrapping skids and loading and unloading the trailer
  • Equipment: Pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and hi-lo

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle on local delivery routes.
  • Transport and deliver cleaning supplies to scheduled stops.
  • Load and unload freight using available material-handling equipment.
  • Wrap and secure skids for safe transportation.
  • Complete deliveries safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Follow all applicable transportation and safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with Hazmat endorsement.
  • 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
  • Ability to safely handle freight and operate pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hi-los.
