Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.  Must staff majority of time in a hazardous compounding role.

Education:
▪ Required: Annual sterile compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency program.
▪ Required: Annual hazardous drug compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency within 90 days of hire.
▪ Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
▪ Required: 1-2 years related experience
Skills:
▪ Good verbal and written communication skills
▪ Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
▪ Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as excel, word, and power point
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Required: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.
• Required: Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire
