Full job description
Our department provides outpatient mental health for children in the office and school settings. Our counselors work closely with local schools to provide therapy services to students during their school day.
The purpose of this job is to provide clinical treatment services to the targeted populations, including a comprehensive needs assessment and provision of case management services including assessment, service linkage, resource development, coordination of all services received, and advocacy. Services are provided in an outpatient program designed to service patients with a mental health or substance use disorder diagnosis who meets dimensions for all levels of care.
Sign-on bonus of up to $7,000 for a 2-year work commitment!
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment & Treatment
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and intake activities under supervision to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide individual and group therapy, recovery education, and family engagement as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop, implement, and update treatment plans based on patient needs.
Care Coordination
- Engage clients, address participation barriers, and promote recovery-focused self-management.
- Coordinate care with providers, community resources, and support services to ensure continuity of care.
- Recommend and facilitate referrals to appropriate levels of care and community-based services.
Documentation & Quality
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, case records, and service authorizations.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discussions regarding patient progress and care needs.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and perform duties in accordance with organizational standards and professional competencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
Completion of a human services related internship/practicum or 1 year of relevant human services experience.
Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process preferred.

- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
- OAPSA
