Novant Health Pediatrics SouthPark is seeking a full-time CMA!
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm - one Saturday shift each month
To coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.
What We're Looking For:Education: High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required

Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required
Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
What You'll Do:
Job responsibilities include:
- Room patients and prepare exam rooms for clinical visits.
- Obtain and record vital signs accurately.
- Perform venipuncture and draw blood samples as ordered.
- Process and run laboratory tests according to established protocols.
