Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are met in a timely manner.
• Provide direct patient care through hands-on therapy, including guiding therapeutic exercises and utilizing manual therapy techniques to promote functional recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans according to clinical observations and outcomes to optimize rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and efficacy during home exercises.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to discuss treatment effectiveness and contribute insights on patient care improvements.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from orthopedic issues, including post-operative recovery from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current and active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic setting is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
