Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the facility’s Infection Prevention & Control Program

  • Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and state regulations

  • Conduct surveillance, tracking, and reporting of infections

  • Educate and train staff on infection control practices, PPE use, and prevention protocols

  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, medical staff, and department heads

  • Lead outbreak investigations and implement corrective actions as needed

  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for audits and surveys

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN or RN license (required)

  • Must have long-term care experience

  • Experience in infection control, epidemiology, or quality assurance preferred

  • CIC Certification -Preferred

  • Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices

  • Excellent communication, organization, and teaching skills
