Service Technician

The Tablet Press Service Technician will provide technical support through application knowledge to troubleshoot customer concerns, provide training and support, and develop standardized repair procedures as necessary for the Tablet Press Division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Run trials and perform factory testing on new machines to ensure proper operation of the tablet press prior to shipping.
• Diagnose operator error versus electrical and control system problems on customer equipment.
• Troubleshooting PLC and HMI configuration and programming.
• Troubleshooting electrical systems from 24VDC control to 600v three phase AC main power.
• Comfortable providing hands-on and classroom training – operational optimization and process knowledge is a plus.
• Perform SAT, FAT, calibrations, and other tablet press-related functions at HQ or at the customer's site as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Recent PLC development or troubleshooting experience (Beckhoff & Rockwell)
• HMI development or troubleshooting
• Experience with high-speed data acquisition systems.
• Experience with safety systems preferred
• Good communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, associate's or trades degree

Physical Requirements

• Physical Effort: Work requires standing, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Travel up to 75% as required
