Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, adapting them based on patient progress.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring correct techniques to maximize benefits and prevent injuries.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, providing compassionate care to facilitate recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress diligently, documenting changes in their condition and reporting findings to supervising Physical Therapists.
  • Educate patients on effective home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies, encouraging self-management and empowerment.
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy at all times.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team for coordinated care, participating in team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients recovering from a range of conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Qualifications

  • Current and valid Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey.
