Job Description <br><p><strong>Job Title:</strong></p><p>Diagnostic / European Automotive Technician</p><p><strong>Location: </strong></p><p>12124 McCree Road, Dallas, United States, 75238</p><p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p><p>We are looking for Advanced Diagnostic Automotive Technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for must seek out solutions to tough problems and have a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>High-level operation of specialized diagnostic equipment, including lab scopes (e.g., PicoScope), multi-meters, and factory/aftermarket scan tools to pinpoint root causes.</li><li>Perform control module reprogramming, software updates, and ADAS calibrations.</li><li>Conduct thorough, accurate digital vehicle inspections to identify immediate safety concerns and future maintenance needs, clearly communicating findings to the service advisor team.</li><li>Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles</li><li>Serve as the shop’s go-to technical resource, assisting and mentoring mid-level or apprentice technicians with complex hurdles to elevate the whole team.</li><li>Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively</li><li>Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization</li><li>Work together with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results</li></ul> <br>Qualifications <br><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Positive attitude and a desire to serve guest</li><li><strong>5+ years</strong> of professional automotive technician experience, with a <strong>minimum of 2</strong> years specializing in European vehicles at a dealership or independent Euro shop.</li><li>Proficient with ODIS, VCDS, or equivalent diagnostic and programming systems</li><li>ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve</li><li>Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles</li><li>Meet or exceed hourly goals</li><li>Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes</li><li>Professional appearance and strong communication</li><li>A desire for long-term career development</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds</li><li>Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head</li><li>Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair</li><li>Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools</li><li>Walk/stand for the majority of their workday</li><li>Drive manual transmission vehicles</li><li>Efficiently navigate a computer</li></ul> <br>Additional Information <br><p>Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
