Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call EMR System: Epic
Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient
Admissions Required: Yes
Are temporary privileges available: Yes
Is Hospital Stroke Certified: Yes
Patients Per Shift: 5-10
Bed In Department: 30
Rounding: Assigned Patients
Schedule & Call:
  • Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Up to 15 shifts/days per month
  • Weeknight call: 4:30 PM 8:00 AM
  • Weekend call: Friday 4:30 PM Sunday 8:00 AM
  • Coverage may be scheduled in 7-day blocks
  • Call ratio: 50/50
  • Approximately 1 3 admissions
  • Hospitalists handle overnight admissions, except new oncology diagnoses
  • When on call, the provider is responsible for inpatients.
Patient & Practice Details :
  • 5 10 patients per shift
  • 30-bed department
  • Inpatient rounding on assigned patients
  • Support staff includes 7 RNs, 1 MA, 2 APPs, and 5 office staff
  • No supervision of APPs or residents required

Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
  • Fellowship training required
  • Active Missouri license or IMLC
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
  • Pediatric Hematology/Oncology training required
  • Bone marrow biopsy experience is REQUIRE D
